Hello Guys and Gals,
Does anyone know if there is a performance balancer available for the 250? I see FSPP have one for the 200, will this fit, or can it be made to fit?
Thanks
Nathan
Nathan,
No the 200 one won't fit.
The crank "snout" is the same diameter as a SBF. But the SBF uses a seperate pulley for the accessories.
There is a way that I've been thinking of.....use a SBF SFI type balancer, and fab up a seperate pulley that is basically reversed so that the V-grooves, or better yet, the serpentine belt grooves are located over the outer diameter of the balancer, then it would work great.
Or have a balancer custom made!

Thanks for the reply but I'm not sure i understand fully?!...... Would the seperate pulley be put on backwards and be large enough so that it covers the balancer, rather than just bolting on the front?
The 250 I have was built in the old Jack Clifford shop in the mid 90's before he passed. The contact literature I have for the build lists the balancer as a FISHER which I believe was custom made for them. Don't know if any old crew is still at Clifford Performance, but it may be worth checking with them to see if they have any info.
