250 head porting

CAn a 250 be ported much?
By cutting off the intake manafold and inlarging the ports how much cfm do you think I could get in there.

I am thinking an edlebrock 500 cfm 4 barrel, 10.5:1 comp, 208D cam 114 lobe center .450 lift stock 1.5 rockers, custom intake with carb sitting 8" away from the head, hooker headers, pertronix ingniton.
 
how much volumetric efficiency could occour in a 250 with a short cam 1000-4000 rpm 204 Duturation, 112 lobe center .465 lift wiith 1.5 rockers, hooker headers, hacked off intake and ported to the max ports?


I could drill and tap studs in the head for a custom intake..

would 500 cfm be overkill at low revs?
 
another question what is the highest compression I can run on a 250 with 1.6 rockers?
 
1.Hack off exterior intake and exaust.

2.port out all intake and exaust ports to the max safe.

3.Dril and tap studs in appropiate locations, between cylinders 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6.

4.make a face plate that fits up to the head, with 6 tubes made 2" thick each.

5.wield at ends of cylinders 3,4 a 4" wide by 2" tall square box which will start to slope down to the ends of the head where box is 2" by 2".[/img]
