250 instead of 170

Will a 250 fit into my 65 mustang with a 170 and if so,what do I need to do to make it fit?What is the advantage of a 250 over a 200.

250 has V8 bellhousing pattern.Can pick up C4 that fits it easy.

50 more cubic inches.. You know how it goes bigger is better..
Not too mention the pre smog years 250s put up some decent hp and torque numbers.

8) the biggest advantage of the 250 over the 200 is the longer stroke. it wont rev as high as the 200 will but then again for the street you dont need the high revs. remember that the 250 is a little taller and a little wider than the 200, thus it is also a little heavier. the differences are not much, but need to be taken into account.

But if I were to get a 250,will it drop right in other than changing the tranny or will it fit onto my C4?

If you already have a C4, all you need is the V8 bellhousing. Check Ebay.

Not sure about what else will be different in a mustang.
