I have a 1977 Ford Granada with the 250 six. What is the best carb upgrade for this car (w/the stock engine)? Right now it has the Carter 1 barrel carb, and it really is hard to keep tuned. Any suggestions?

Well, I guess no one knows. I want to try the triple weber setup, but it's so expensive. I may try the Weber 38. Any input?

Consider the Autolite 2100 or Holley 350 2V carbs with the clifford adaptor. I haven't had much experience with webers so I can't help there.

But we really need more information about your car, modifications, intended modifications, or use of the car before we can give you a better idea of what to look for.

Thanks for the reply!
My car is completely original. It's leaking some oil, so I want to just go ahead and rebuild the engine. It has about 133,000 miles on it. I plan on keeping it as original as possible (the car as a whole), but just give it a good power boost. I want dependability from it, but it is not going to be a daily driver. I just want to be able to drive it on weekends, and maybe out of state occasionallly. The main problem is that carb. If I can get a dependable carb that will give me more power, I'll be happy.

Also, it has a c-4 transmission.

Hi there.

I went for the Holley on my 200. Better milage, runs really good, and performes a lot better. A smart choise I would think..

Icelander.
