250 xy head?

I have found for sale a ford 250 xy motor it looks to have a single barrel carb on it also I have found an aluminum intake 2v for a xa and an xl motor. Is the intake removeable on the xy head?(i have only seen pics of motor through a friend who dont know) if so does this intake work .and is it worth or possible to put on my american 250?

OK, what you are calling the "XY motor" is just a log headed 250 (or destroker 200) with the Australian bellhousing pattern. A reliable engine, but not worth shipping in its own right.

The "XL motor" if original, is simply a 1963 Falcon engine. Either a 144 or 170, log head.

The "XA" head you refer to is a 2V head, however it's important to buy both the manifold and head. The manifold is harder to find than the head, as a loose item. Beware of ported heads, excessively milled heads, modified intakes - all these things are potentially a big risk to the buyer.

thanks for the info.I guess I just need to find someone who is parting with their reworked log head to get themselves an aluminum one.ANY TAKERS?
