HI, Anyone interseted in 2v specs
I have a modified 250 2v in a TD Cortina (had a four cylinder in it previously).
Australian Wheels Magazine road test September 1971 Titled "Fords Fiery Six" says that the 250 2V was 2.3 seconds quicker from 0-60mph (14.0 down to 10.7) and 1.3 seconds quicker on the standing quarter mile (18.3 to 17).
Take into account that this was with a Aussie two barrel carb that flowed only about 220-230 cfm.
I put a holley 350 on mine recently, smoothness and power increased noticably. I now have a 500 holley on it and noticed a marked increase in performance again over the 350. I have not yet checked the economy with the 500. But with the 350 I got 26 mpg at 65mph over fairly hilly terrain. [/b]
