Just a quick yes/no question hopefully, are all 5200's the same i found one with the cast numbers being R-6502-1? Thanks
5200 casting numbers do they matter?

Howdy back:
The simple answer is "No".
The long answer is that if this is a Holley/Weber, a carburetor Weber licenced Holley Corp to manufacture for the American car market, then this number is the Holley list number. "R-6502 1" is an engineering code commanly called the List number. List refers to a list of of parts and specification for this carb for the production plant to use. I can't find my big Holley book right now for the details. The "1" following the 4 digits refers to a slight change from the basic list number. Sometimes this number is missing.
The next 4 digits are a build date code. The first three are the day of the year, and the last is the year.
5200s Were 1st produced and marketed by Holley, under licence from Weber in 1970. It was 1st used in the 2.0 leter Pinto. Since ist has been used in Ford, GM, AMC, Chrysler and VW/Audi vehicles, all in very different configurations.
