well i bought a ok shape 63 falcon 2 door no post with 170 c4 runs ok but i found a runing 200 with trans complete how hard is the swap and any advise will help and how to as well thanks guys

if its a pre 75 engine its unbolt and bolt in , only the dowels that locate the bell will need changed if you use the original Bell and clutch setup from the 63

If you have ever pulled a motor before you can do this. Probably even if you haven't you still can. Four (five?) bolts on the bellhousing, couple bolts on the starter, four bolts on the motor mounts, three or four electrical connectors, fuel line and a couple exhaust bolts and you're done. It could not be easier.

Only surprises for me - going from a '62 170ci to a '68 200ci - were:

1. Moving the dowels as FalconSedanDelivery mentioned
2. Swapping the carburetor spacer/heater plate so I could keep my throttle linkage
3. Swapping the thicker Mustang fan from the 200ci with my thinner Falcon from from the 170ci
4. Removing the pilot bearing from the crank, since the 200ci was from a manual tranny and I've got an automatic (imagine my embarrassment when I forgot to do this initially!)

Totally painless operation. Especially after having done something similar on a '98 Volvo just a couple weeks before this. ;)
