So my valve seals need replacement the only things is im not to sure how to take off the arms, its a non adjustable set. And what would be a good valve seal i've heard there are 2 diffrent types.

Hi, the whole rocker shaft is removed as an assembly. The whole thing should be checked for wear and all the oil holes should be cleaned. All the push rods should be kept in order so they can be reinstalled where they came from. You can make a simple holder from a piece of cardboard and punch in 12 holes with an awl. Keep the whole thing on top of something clean. If you take the rocker arms of the shaft keep the parts on order too. I have small Chilton's repair manuals on many of the cars I work on which are a very good resource. The manuals give a lot of good tech at your fingertips and show special tools to make life easier no matter what part of the car you are working on. good luck

Just loosen up the pedestal bolts evenly and the whole assembly will come right off. When you put it back on tighten them up evenly, ie get them all finger tight then go along and do a 1/2 turn at a time. The engine isn't going to notice if you keep your pushrods in order. There are the stock umbrella type seals and then there are Viton positive type seals. The positive seals are better but they are going to require that you cut the valve guide bosses so that they have something to attach to. If it's a stock engine the umbrella seals will work fine and be easy to replace. If you're leaving the head on the engine you can hook an air hose into the spark plug hole and pull the springs off with the engine still together.
