I just had my YF 7130 rebuilt and it’s just worn out. I really need to find a replacement. Any ideas?

Is it the throttle shaft? You can have them re-bushed. The Falcon Performance Handbook has info on carbs, both stock and performance. Check on ebay maybe a NOS will turn up. Your Bronco looks pretty clean.

It is the throttle shaft but quite honestly it needs to be replaced.

Yes. I just ordered one from J&J in California apparently nobody makes a replacement for the YF 7130s…

e-bay sells the bush and reemer fr the job (or did). Ck there BUT 1st...
do some study on what U need, how to do it. Thru this manner U can
order the correct kit.

1 more time.
Steel throttle shaft (w/the butterfly or choke on it easily seen in the throttle boar when taking off the air cleaner) is steel. The body of the carb is alu. Shaft wears the alu away in 178,234.2 miles. THAT develops an air leake (intrusion). U can put a brass bushing on the outsside of the shaft by removing it, reeming out the hole, pressing ina bushing & reassembling the "air horn" or top of the carb.

Have you had success or go buy a carb, or stop driving///Wassss Sup?

I’ve gone threw two new carbs and runs great for about an hour then misfires. Decided to go with a sniper efi instead. Not quite finished yet. Having to modify a-lot for aBronco install. Hopefully next week I’ll be driving

most of us rebuild any new-to-us carb. Some of us use Mike's Carb on-line for the kit.

"...Having to modify a-lot for aBronco install..."
no need at all as they (200/3.3) came OE ina bronk before they produced bent8 onlys ('73 or 4) till the end of the model ('77).
Sorry, found this post in my spam, never look there just happened by.

Where will U put the two crancase vent lines (PCV & A/C lines on VC)? Mig over the holes? run to manafold vac? catch can? some thing else? Do U have a good enuff AC housing to cover that efi?

it WILL need to 'breath'. Catch can or (I'd wanna hide that efi) both into the AC housing, the rear w/a PCV
(or better - it onto a currently available 'nipple' @ manafold vac on the pass's side of the log. C a fitting or hole there?)
The frnt witha twist cap so as to beable to top off the CC every once'n awhile, hose uptoa hole in that AC housing? Pretty
close to OEM, a closed CC vent system even w/use of efi, and a stealth way to have an ol rig show its tru colors yet not
have fuel slosh on the gradients & the rest of the efi costs/bennies...

have fun, B safe AND productive !

I guess I should clarify…my mechanic is installing everything. I can basic stuff but this is totally above my pay grade. It’s taking a while because most of the parts are not for an EB but a mustang and have to be modified, such as throttle cable among other things. I appreciate your help. I was posting so other EB owners might be interested. I lost patience after the second carb failed.

My hope is that ur experience here lends you more in the direction of guiding the 'builder' than being presented with something.
Choice is a very good thing and we should all have more of them.
I try'n steer all the bronk guys I can (they R i6 interested folk) here for this same reason. Knowledge helps us see more choices
and we benefit from both.
Tell him you want to know if "there will be a positive crankcase ventilation system, how will he build it w/a efi like this, and that you would like a "closed loop" to keep out the dirty air and vent the crankcase." Then (or B4, ur choice, doesn't matter at this point) go out'n read about same ('the Handbook' & tech archive). Suddenly U will B part of the team on this build not just the financier. The real fun develops "when U get ur hands dirty" !!! Sounds like ur lettin him have all of it + shippin him $. (I love 'problem solving' most I think).

He really is awesome. I’m in the shop every couple days and we go over everything. Today I decided how I wanted the wires run. It really has been a positive experience. I will definitely read up so when I head over I understand what I want to do and why. I love getting my hands dirty and I have replaced my fuel pump, spark plug, oil sensor, rewired my marker lights, modified brackets for my center console, oil changes and installed wiper motors.

"...I can basic stuff but..." I saw that and forgot it, sorry.

"...read up..."

and

for wipers we get rid of the wiper cover (plastic pillow) and linkage (all those arms, wires, levers) and use two
(or one) small ele (toyota or other) wiper mpotor. Some go back to vacume for an even smoother look. An 'up-side
down windshield' puts them at dash/hood level but is the most effort.
