A bit more performance

I met this great mechanic yesturday, and he gave me a few suggestions for getting a little more performance out of my 200 I6. He suggested a clutch fan, remove & plug up the smog thingy, and get a solid state distributor. I just want to know what anyone can tell me about these items. Thanks

Definitely do a search for a Pertronix electronic ignition system, high voltage Flamethrower Coil, headers and 2V carburetors, there's tons on info on all of this and anything else you could think of on this site.

If you'd supply some more info about your car; year, trans, other mods, condition, locations. And some info about you- your budget, your mechanical abilities, goals, etc. we could be more specific in offering suggestions and advice.

There are many free and easy things to do as well as some low cost and a little more challenging ideas.
