A/C Charge Port

I can't find where to charge my A/C on my '81 Fairmont. I see the port for the high side near the expansion valve, but, have never found the charging port on the low side.

I'm not really familiar with the fairmont, but it's gotta be there somewhere. Check on the compressor, esp. the back and bottom if it's horizontaly mounted. Also check the accumulator. They can be tricky to find somethimes, I wonder if the engineers sit around finding new ways to confuse us sometimes.

I have looked all up and down the suction line and on the compressor. No sign of a charging port. There is a small line that is to the engine side of the expansion valve and appears to run through the firewall to the inside of the car. Haven't traced this one down, but can't believe this would be it. Will give it a closer inspection tomorrow..................
