I've got a 170 ci 6. It has a Accel coil #8140 installed by P.O.. It says 12 volt and nothing at all about with or without resister. So many things that P.O. had wrong I am wondering if this is hooked up right. It is running through original resister wire. With 12 volts written on it I think maybe it should have 12v and not through the resister wire. I have went to their web site and it tells nothing about that one. I'm hoping someone has installed one and has or remembers what the instructions says.
