Were is the accelerator return spring supposed to be attached on a 200? I have seen some that run to the front of the intake manifold and some that run down to the exhaust manifold. Not sure if model and year mater but specifically for a 67 mustang.

Yes, I have seen that- a long spring attached on end the intake. Myself, I have it attached to the AC upper bracket (I also changed springs). I guess anywhere that it will hold and give you decent return for the throttle should work- which a lot have figured out as being on the end of the log :)

most are on the log, but ultimately, it's where ever you think it feels best when at the peddle.

Anyone have any opinion about those dual chrome spring set-ups I always see at the autropart stores? I think MR. Gasket or someone like that makes them. Supposed to give a nice light feel at the peddle.

Stock spring is a big round one, approx 3/4", maybe 1" diameter, 3 or 4" long that hooks onto a hole in the exhaust pipe donut flange directly below the throttle attachment at the carb.

I use that double spring. It's a little stiff, but it ain't bad. =)

Well I put in 'accelerator and spring', hit the search button wondering how many threads I'll need to run through, and point click there is the answer. Thankful yet again for the expertise and experience gathered in this forum.

One question though, does anyone know what the threaded bolt hole on the passenger side of the water circulating spacer plate is for? (choke tube clamp maybe?)
Thanks
