Adjustable Rocker Arm question.

From what I've gathered (and I still can't find my Falcon 6 book) here on the forum, I can use adjustable rockers with my original stock 68 rocker shaft right (that is originally non-adjustable). Is that correct?

If I do swap to adjustable rockers, do I need to swap out pushrods or can I use the stock replacements? Is the oiling pattern changed since I'm still using my stock shaft?

Thanks.

Howdy Slade:

Yes, you can use your stock '68 shaft with the new, adjustible rockers.

No, you cannot use your stock non-adjustable pushrods, with balls on both ends, with the new, adjustible rockers. You will need to replace your pushrods for ones that have a ball on one end and a cup on the other.

Oiling is the same. Just make sure to clean it thoroughly before reassembly

Adios, David

Dunno. I tried that once and found the ID of the adjustable rockers about .010" smaller than the OD of the non-adjustable '68 shaft. We (OHChicken) and myself honed them out and got them to fit, only to have the engine die when the rocker shaft seized about 45 seconds into runtime  I then had a new shaft express ordered from Gary at Rocker Arm Specialties.

Slade,

I have a couple of complete shafts with stock adjustable rockers. Used but in good shape. If you want one Free, send me an e-mail.
