ok im having a electrical problem. a few weeks ago my car died out of no wear. and i had to jump it about 4 times (along the way) to get it home. i finally got it home and started to go to work. i brought the battery in and the alternator and tested them. the battery was bad but the alternator was good. so i got a new battery and put it in. to no avail it would die. at first it would die randomly, but after the new battery it would die if i turned on the heater, lights, or whipers. so i just kept thinking it had to be the alternator and took it into work and tested it again. and again it passed. so i decided to look at the wireing and i then replaced all the wireing from the alternator to the voltege regulator. and still even thoe one of the wires was barly on there it didnt work.
ANOTHER question i have reguarding this is do you guys have your stater hooked up??? its the wire at the very top of the alternator suposed to tell the alternator to turn on (it goes from your voltege regulator to the top of the alternator) cause i didnt have it hooked up and never have. i decided that i would try that and ran a wire and then things became weird. i jumped the car and tried to turn on stuff, and they were all really slow, the radio would only turn on about 3-5 seconds after you turned it on, the window wipers were really slow even in full. anyways guys im stumped and i was wondering if you guys have herd of anything like this or have expirenced it. any ideas? thoughts? there all appretiated. thanks!
