Air Cleaner

66 Mustang left side has a fitting (90 degrees and facing towards the back) with a cork in it....any ideas where a hose connected would go? It is not the valve cover...there is a hose going to the carb.

The breather fitting on the under side of your Air Cleaner would normally have a hose connected to a vented oil cap or to the ‘in valve cover’ PCV valve. I'm not sure if that was standard equipment on a 66 Mustang (someone will be along to correct me) but check to see what you have and where it's plumbed. If you have an oil fill cap that takes a hose it would go to the air cleaner fitting and the hose from the PCV should go to the base of the carburetor.
