was air condition an option on the Aussie 250 2V? if so... what side of engine was the compresser on, intake & exhaust side or the dizzy , ps side?

Compressor was under the alternator. It used a big steel adapter/bracket and the alternator moved closer up to the exhaust. Power steering pump occupied the other side. A/C wasn't very common in Australian cars until the '80s. Nor was power steering.

let me ask you addo.. was that factory or some that was custom made? my six cyl friend Gary just got a maverick. and he wants too trade for my comet. his maverick has AC . and it will get in the way if i drop my oz in. do you think that aussie bracket can be had? thanks for your responce, critter

Don't know if there are any particular ones. I'm not intending to sell the one I bought (for $25) - it is an aftermarket piece.

AzCoupe modified his US Ford factory one to work with the 2V's headers. My greatest reservation about suggesting you get the Australian bracket, is that it probably won't align correctly. One ear bolts to the timing cover, and ours is differently shaped.

Sorry to be a little vague - been short on sleep the last few days.
