Alloy Valve Covers

After a year of searching I finally found a pattern maker and a foundry to produce alloy valve covers, at a reasonalbe price. So if all goes well, I should have them in a few months. No price yet, but they should come in about the same as Clifford's, probably a little less.

Can i ask what the benifit of an alloy valve cover vs a stock one would be? Would it dissipate heat quicker? Is it just the coolness factor? Not trying to be mean or any thing, just wondering.

from what ive read, they seal better, look better, and fit roller rocker arms and all those fancy doo-dads.

They will be finned and will resemble the old Edelbrock covers. Not sure about the wording, may make them plain, "Powered by Ford", or possibly "Ford Six Performance". :

I had a hell of a time trying to install a Clifford V/C yesterday. The rear bolt hole was off a good 1/4" Anyone else have this problem?

The Edelbrock cover I have was not originally tapped for a PCV valve, are you planning to include that or not? Just curious.

I am not sure about the "Powered by Ford" since they had that on their covers. You might want to check into it.
