I bought this radiator http://www.speedwaymotors.com/xq/aspx/d ... roduct.htm from speedway motors, (the 22" ford rad) my question is what do I do about the hose sizes? The inlet and outlet are different sizes than the ones on the motor, do they make hoses with different size ends? I will have someone tig on some brackets to attatch it so this seems to be the big question.
Thanks in advance for any info you might have to leed me in the right direction.

I pretty much am running the same thing (got it from summit though)

I was able to get a lower hose to fit no problem (flex hose)

and for the upper hose I am running a flex hose with a "sleeve" on the t-stat housing (really just a hunk off my old hose)

my only issue is that they cool ALOT ....Ihaven't ran a fan in 4 years now. I overheated once in traffic in a 5 mile standstill on the 4th once and later that summer stuck in construction again on the way back from the brickyard 400.

A WO-4 (generic part number) upper thermostat housing will fit the 250-size hose and bolt to a 200 head. If Nick's told you how to fix the lower one, this is it.

Remember to electrically isolate the radiator from the chassis, or it will corrode in short order. Also, use an appropriate modern coolant in correct proportions. While this type radiator is better for cooling, it has to be treated with a little more respect.

Regards, Adam.

don't forget the sacrificial.... thingie
goes on the radiator cap

used so the diff between the electrons on the cast iron and the aluminum don't eat up the aluminum...
or some such stuff
someone knows what i'm talkin 'bout

How do you isolate it?

Rubber or urethane mount padding will help, you can't just bolt/screw it in like a brass one, unless you use nylon bushes and flatwashers. Most aluminium radiators are mounted with upper and lower cradle type brackets; the lower ones fixed and the upper ones removable. I think quite a few places sell a generic mounting kit with these type brackets.
