It is time to change my water pump. I remember back, a while ago, reading some posts about the flow of a Aluminum vs Cast pump. Well, I cann't find the post :(
But, I think the aluminum flowed more. Is this correct? Anyone have any opinions on which is better?

Marco,

I remember that post too. Here's what I saved from that topic:
Get a 1966-78 Mustang Water pump for a 200 auto with A/C, check for the cast impeller Master Parts P/N CP810, mfg. P/N C6DZ-8501-C.
I've pulled a few from Fairmonts and Zephers at Ecology without Success, but I've seen them on eBay for as little as $10.

Todd was on here a few days ago, pimping his alloy pumps in plain and polished. I think it was under 006's "Aluminum Water Pump" topic.

Cheers, Adam.

Marco, I'm on a quest. I'm of a FIRM opinion that the cast iron water pumps are superior to the aluminum (stamped impellers) ones do to clearance issues at the impellers and is causing overheating problems with the 6's. IF you go with the Cast one please note difference in the temperature gauge and post it here.

Thanks,
Steve
