Another carb option?

Has anyone ever heard of an Aisan Model Y carb? I found references to them as replacing the Carter YFA on the Ranger trucks in 87 or 88. Does anyone know anything about this carb such as cfm, bore sze etc? All I could find out it is a 1bbl carb and I beleve it is an electronic feedback carb. Also does anyone know if they are still available, as I had never heard of them?

Hmmm. Dunno for sure. Could be ex Toyota Landcruiser/Nissan Patrol 4x4's. Early ones may have had single barrel Carter "WORK-A-LIKES" built under licence!

The 2-bbl Aisin is also a good carb. 4.2 FJ Landcruisers, Mazda, Colts, Toyota 18/21R engines and other Jap cars ran them.
