Any idea what this turbo manifold was originally from?

It fits on my aussie precrossflow 250, but the strange thing is that the turbo is mounted so far back.

Youd swear its a lowmount but its not, its definately a high mount.

Its cast, so Id love to know what this originally came from.

I am looking to sell this soon so if you are interested keep an eye on this thread because ill be listing it on ebay shortly.

A stationary diesel motor of some type? Nissan?

What makes it a turbo? I was thinking along the lines of some sort of stationary motor also, maybe a pump or generator. If it was a Ford tractor that would explain why it bolts up maybe since the parts may have been built on the same line or based on the car parts.

but the bolt holes appear to match that of the US 200's and the non cross flow aussie motors like he said

I say strip it down to bare clena metal. looks to me like a welded up stocker.

notew in the first pic it looks like there is the outlet that has been trimmed down and filled in.

that is about where I have my T3 mounted (the "rib" on my shock tower sits even with the bearing housing on the turbo....turbine on one side of the rib and compressor on the other)

I have to agree, it does look like a modified stock manifold.

Ford ( AUST ) made Diesel and Petrol Generator sets for Rail motors and Rail carriages. I have seen a few of these and a similar motor was also used in the tractors.

We have one on a Rail Carriage on the Tourist Railway I am involved with.
These motors also got used in Rail Shunters.

Sorry not 100% sure how to get any more information on these.
