Hey Mav! I am up here in Enid.
I know I can't buy your pile, but maybe some things.
I picked up a 64 Econoline Ford 170 to rebuild with my Grandson. His Xmas present.
He thinks he may want to be a mechanic. (I kinda want him to be an aircraft mechanic
if he goes this route, but we will see.)
Ran into a Great Guy! He sold me the engine at half price and threw in an old engine stand
when I told him the plan. Awesome!! There are still good people out there!!
I don't know what I will need, or if you will have the stuffus when the time comes, or what you have.
Lol! I already went a little stupid, so that he will enjoy the project. Got a set of headers and a Holley
2 bbl carb (also to rebuild, and when he gets the single off I'll order an adapter plate.)
a project tracking book, Gasket kit, couple other reading material books.
I want to get a bellhousing enuff to hang a starter, so a flywheel too.
I don't know if you may have any trick parts, i.e. the cyl head?
Also need a brain to tap during this. Like how to tackle the "backwards" advance/retard thing with the
distributor.
As soon as I can get it out of the back of my truck, I plan to collect and research all the block
numbers with him to see exactly what we got.
Well, there is a ramble for Ya!!! LOL!! This is where I'm at. I saw your ad and took a shot.
Thank You,
Ken
