Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone who has installed a 250 2V head on their Mustang could snap a few pictures of what exactly they did to the accelerator linkage to get things to work and post them or email them to me at agraff@student.umass.edu.

Thanks!

Rob

I went to the wrecking yard and located a Fairmont and took the linkage from the carb to the peddle, it's a cable type. Then it depend what carb you are using, a Holly 5200 (read weber) needs the metal bridge that goes over the valve cover to work! The Holly 325/500 models just need a small bracket made and attached to the intake to mount the linkage!

I had already stripped my linkage before I mounted my Holley 500, It may be possible to use all or part of your existing linkage with the Holley 2300 series carb's. Maybe someone else has done it and they'll post how or what they used?

Oh No ! Not another wayward 2V with a green card.

To fit an Oz 2V in an Oz Ford Falcon of the sixties I have simply used the V8 Falcon (Oz again) accelerator pedal and rod with the simplest of pull rod .It bolted straight up and matched the indented firewall . No yuck angles and rough bits involved . It looks factory !

Rumoured to make 2V s scream more is to chamfer the top edge of bore beside valves to assist in better flow. Came from a good source , yet to investigate ;)

Good luck !
