Aussie heads on U.S. Mail truck engines?

A guy that used to work as a mechanic for the USPS told me that they had some of the little Jeep mail trucks that had Ford inline 6's with a removable intake.....wonder if these were 200's or 300's? I always saw these with Jeep or Willis 4 bangers in them...........anyone ever heard of this?

Would've been the 240/300 motors for sure.
