Have a question on carbs.I have installed a 1965 Mustang 200 6 cyl in my 65.This is a suppose to be a rebuilt motor ??? I have not heard it run yet. The motor was in several pieces when I bought it the carb was off and the starter was off, alt, ext.I have it in the car and was going to used the carb off the motor I took out of the mustang a 1968 200 6cyl. I was told threw a buddy that he did not think the carb on the 68 motor would fit.Is this right I have not looked at it yet .I was going to rebuild the 65 carb but it has a few missing parts and the carb on the 68 motor I know runs good.Could it be that I can switch out the intake and make it work . I am learning as I go so step by step please.

8) the 68 carb should bolt to the 65 head with no issues. unfortunately you cant swap intakes, unless you swap heads as well, since the intake is cast integral with the head.

As far as i know it should fit fine. You should go through and freshen it up though while its off, wont hurt, and its easy.
