All Small Six Autolite 1100 upgrade

Hello Everyone, I run a Autolite 1100 on my 200, already change the distributor to a MAXX88630K, but i want to upgrade the Carburator, what do you guys recomend? is not like the car is for Drag racing or anything but yes i would like a little Better performance.

If your Autolite 1100 is an "LOM" with a spark valve I hope that you connected your vacuum advance to manifold vacuum.

The carb will have a "spark valve" on it. It's the brass colored valve in the photo.
I don't think you will find a new Autolite 1100 without a spark valve.

some look a lill different than this (This an "outtie" the other an "innie") as no flange on outside looking like a 6 sided bolt but the lill silver disc inside the round hole/body. C here:

Connect the vacuum adavnce to manifold vacuum.
I have an HEI on my 200 six.
I have the vacuum advance connected to manifold vacuum.
Plug the vacuum advance port on the Autolite 1100 so you don't have a vacuum leak

Back to the original topic here - a slightly bigger bore 1101 carburetor can be made to fit. There are adapters available, or you can make your own if you're crafty. The fuel line, throttle linkage, vacuum and PCV lines, etc. all fit fine, but you'll probably need a different air cleaner. A lot easier change to make than adapting a two-barrel carb.

In the mean time don't destroy your engine with LOM venturi vacuum advancing the HEI vacuum unit.
Disconnect the vacuum line and plug it if there is a spark valve on your Autolite 1100.
