All Small Six Autolite 1101 Power Valve Adjustment

My 1101 has a plastic nut that allows for power valve adjustment. I know you aren't supposed to touch it, but I'm looking for specs to check it as I'm uncertain if it's set correctly. The main issues I'm fighting is poor fuel economy, 13 mpg with a 72 main jet (I had surging at speed with a 68 so I went up to a 72 which cured that) and lack of power on acceleration compared to similar 200 equipped cars. I have good compression, my accelerator pump is adjusted to spec, and my timing is set to 16 degrees base.
65 Comet with a large log head and mild cam and 3.20 gears.

I just went and looked at my 1101 while I still can. Someone's coming over to pick up the head it's on in an hour. I don't see a little plastic adjustment nut anywhere on it. Do you have a picture that shows it? Is yours the older SCV version, or the '69 style without one?

The plastic nut is attached to the power valve, which is inside the carb.
