i’ve decided to do the 2V conversion on my log head, so head comes off as soon as i can order the parts, tried 3 times now to order off Classic Inline store and get a stupid error message coming up at payment screen, very frustrating, does anyone else sell the adaptor from 1V-2V, this is the milled log centre adaptor, not just a carb adaptor, i was hoping to have all this done in time for a race meeting start of season in early February, if i cant order the parts, the postage will be further delayed and by the time i get the parts, i will be struggling to get it all done. I have rang Classic as well and left him a message, remember i am in Australia.

Hey, c'mon, some help here...
How long ago did U call / telephone?

Isn't he on here - "Mike"? - "gt200"?- what's his ford6 address?
Try [ gt200 ] , a PM here, mate. Skip the phone and company internet address (if he's around, lookin on-line HERE).

i thought it may be due to the weather, not my fault the webpages dont work when ordering, i was trying to do the right thing and support the site, i sent azcoupe a message, i have sent emails etc, and nothing. I’ll try and by local to me now,

"...azcoupe..."
ahhh, that's it... yeah.

" ...local..."
now U sound like me (only prob. is I can't find local).

U get dat 'boat engine'?

my problem is time, still haven’t heard nothing so may stay up tonight and Mike a call, i may need some other stuff for my motor, carb might be an issue as the carb specialist i spoke to gave me the low down on 350 Holleys, the two models he sells one is for a stocker with no scope for improvements down the track if i change cam’s etc, headwork, the other one is a performance 350 that will require more than my stock 200 can offer, will be to big, so now i may skim the head 60thou, and buy the cam and lifters, double row timing etc, only thing i cant afford is the full ignition i want.

Like Gene F's?

If so, your time frame looks too tight. Your gonna have to make your own.

If you use a whole other large log 250 Aussie head, you can run something like Crosleys

If you are using the small log stock XR head, you have to copy roghax85, here is his early log head, direct mount carb he used was our Holden Sunbird 1900 or XT5/XT6 Varajet, half a quadrajet. and used on the 85 hp 1.9, 102 hp 2.85, and 114 to 121 hp 3.3 Holdens. The early head doesn't have a lot of metal, so a 350 or 500 cfm Holley basically shoots into a wide but narrow slot, and so it might be best to get a look at a Blue XT5 or Black XT6 Varajet intake, and mate a 350 Holley adaptor to it, most aftermarket places sell one for VC, VH and VK Comodores with the 3.3.

Areas to add filler

Another option if you don't want to dissassemble your head is to use the proprietry Devcon filler, sold as JB Weld or under liecense by other suppliers. It is very important to support the internals with iron tie wire used for rebar (reobar, reinforcement bar for cement uses this kind of low carbon iron tie wire) so that it maintains its ability to seal the intake manifold at all times...you don't want fuel air mix or vac leaks at any time, ever.

I use it for my prototype cylinder head adaptors, and its very effective.

thanks mate for info, i may be setting myself a unreasonable time line, might be better to gather the parts, ( so no surprises) then have it all here ready to go after my first meeting.

Probably not an issue, but I made a mistake.

That carb above was a Rochester 2 barrel M2MC M2ME E2ME E2MC DualJet ..it wasn't used on the XT5/XT6 3.3 Holden

Problem is the parts people interchange the Varajet and Dual jet terms , but the ain't the same, or even close. But each carb is Quadrajet based, one cut long ways (the L4/ L6 Varajet), the other cut width ways (the SBC V6/V8 and Buick 231 Dual Jet)

This is the Aussie Varajet which made such stunning economy one the 8 port 1900, and 12 port 2850 and 3300's

Are you happy that Classic Inlines has got what you want?. Are you looking at a Crosley/Gene Mobile, Azza?

I think 200 plus from a 200 is realistic and easy to achieve
