best ignition choice

wondering what my best bet is for a distributor i have a 79 granada with a stock 250

The stock distributor if in good condition, it's hard to do much better than that. But you can add the best in cap and rotor (brass contacts) i.e. NAPA, MSD etc stay away from the bargain auto parts stuff is of a lessor quality than org. equipment. Get a high quality wire set and a fresh coil too. The control box should be top quality too again (none of the bargain auto parts stuff) i.e. Use a Ford or NAPA. You might also get the distributor curved for max performance.

Agree 100%. It's a Duraspark II and is what I use to "upgrade" everything else I work on.
