Billet 2V Water Pump Pulley

Hoping to get started back on some needed upgrades on the car and I'm wanting to add the Polished Billet 2V Pulley. How do I determine if I have the short neck pulley or the long neck.

Short pump is about 4" base to face, long is about 4-3/4"

Thanks for posting those Rick. I was looking for pics, but couldn't find one of the long pump. It's great that you got one showing them side by side. But I have to say, those things are gross.....

I'll see if I still have those two cores for measuring.
They were wiped out pumps, of course, tossed into the scrap metal crate and forgotten about. The scrap crate goes to the metal recycler every year or two, and that pic was form several years ago...
But, I may have absently tossed them someplace else, after I took the pics. If I've still got them, I measure. I'll bet they have even -more- crud and crap stuck to them!

Perfect timing for this thread. I have been wondering for the last few days on the measurements of the short/long water pumps...

Is there a way to adapt the "long neck" water pump to a 200 block? I just bought the billet thermostat housing from classic linline and it rubs on the water pump pulley. Or does anyone know of any other way to make these cool looking thermostat housings to work on my 1966 Mustang?

Ran into the same problem. Needed the 2v billet pulley I put on worse then the housing so had to go back to the stock one. Seems like if you put the long pump on you would have to change the balancer/pulley also.

well I might be finding out shortly... my Harmonic Balancer spun the outer groove ring off on the first test drive....

Ford offered two different t-stat housings. One has a full radius (green arrow), while the other one has a flatter radius (yellow arrow) to clear the short W/P pulley. Unfortunately I forgot about this when we made the billet housings. We're working on the flat radius housings and should have them done sometime next week, however it will be a few more weeks before they're ready to ship, as I still need to get them anodized. At any rate, if you have the wrong billet housing (one that doesn't clear), send it back and I'll send you one of the flatter housings as soon as they're ready.

Coming soon: billet 1V pulleys, and an adaptor for the 1100 carbs (so you can use 2V/4V air cleaners or a carb hat).

I bought the wrong "billet" thermostat housing for my car, my fault for not researching it enough.... and classic inlines is nice enough to work with me to get the correct thermostat housing in hand, when they have them for my situation...... I bought the blue one and I seriously regret not taking a photo of it inplace on my engine.... it LOOKED AWESOME, this is a MUST have item!!
