I have a 65 ranchero with inline six. I am trying to ID the block and head. The top # on the block is C5DE & the bottom # is 6O15-G. The head # reads C5DE-6090-A. I think this is a 200 CI engine, but not sure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Pat

I remember that the C5 stands for 65'. There are a few posts on this site from not too long ago talking about this stuff.

Howdy 65Ranchero:

Both are 1965 castings. These casting # were used on both 170 and 200 engines. To determine whick you have count the freeze plugs on the passengers side under the exhaust manifold. 3 = 170, 5 = 200.

Is this an original Calif vehicle?

Adios, David

Thanks David, I want to give my six a slight mod. job. How easy is it to change out the cam, and what is a three angle valve job.
