Sorry, not sure if this the correct forum for my question, but I picked up a 200 block and the casting numbers are as follows

G8DE

6015-B

I cannot find out anything about engine from these numbers, I have loaned out my 6 cyl performance handbook to help ID it, but to whom I cannot remember (age related I am sure). Anyone help?

The G should be a C.

The engine is a 1968 casting design. It was preceded by the 1966, or C6 casting design and after by the 1969, or C9 casting design.
