Hello all you block experts, I ran into a Maverick with the following block number. D5DE-6015-AA. It had a Carter YFA and Low mount starter. I assume it’s a 250. I’m embarrassed to say I forgot to check the water pump to make sure. I’ve Googled the block number and get confused results. What say you?
Thanks, Terence.

Thanks for the confirmation. I know there were a few low mount 200s made but I believe those were earlier?
I'm temped to pull this 250 as I've got an old, worn out 200 sitting in a 66 Mustang. The 250 might be a fun swap with an aluminum head and ....... (-:

There's a great write-up in the Tech Archive (it's linked in the blue banner at the top of the forum page when you're signed in) pertaining to engine identification. It says that the low-mount starter 200's were later years - 80-83. :)
