Blown head gasket????

While working on the car the other day I noticed small water droplets coming out from the head gasket, driver's side. The leak is not a continuos flow, in like 30 sec. intervals and then it stops. I removed all the sparkplugs and the pistons all look dry (and black). The oil looks fine and there's no oily residue in the cooling system. Also there's no "white smoke" coming out of the exhaust.
Is there anything else I missed, I'm worried about water going into the cylinders, what else can I check?

Alex, remove the radiator cap & start the engine see if any bubbles appear in the radiator. If not pull the head & replace the headgasket. If you have bubbles magnaflux the head. I would even take a small cut from the head surface even if you just replace the gasket.
I assume you are running arp head bolt studs?? If not get them. Also what brand head gasket do you have on the vehicle??
Mike at FSPP has the new corteco .038 headgasket available. they look great.

If you have no bubbles when you pull off the radiator cap then try and re-torque the head bolts. I noticed some coolant dripping on my driver's side also. I re-torqued the head bolts and the problem went away.

Will, do these bubbles stand out, when the car is running all you can really see is the water flowing inside the radiator....

I would even take a small cut from the head surface even if you just replace the gasket.

Also what brand head gasket do you have on the vehicle??

I re-torqued the head bolts and the problem went away.

Marco I tried that and all the bolts were tight




By the way my mechanic said we should try Permatex Copper gasket spray, when we put the head back together...any thoughts?
