bubbles in radiator

:hmmm: You could try it with it heated up good may work kind of depends how bad it is already

You could run a bottoming tap in the blocks holes to make sure they cleaned up good. Than run a bolt down and measure length to bottom of bolt. Than see if this measurement matches the thickness of the head. Head bolt washers Milodon #82210 Washers Only - 7/16" (34 pieces)

it didnt work :bang: , i think i need thicker washers under the head bolts, does anyone have the part #?

Just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a couple handful of hardened washers. Install them with good Anti-seize on both sides to prevent issues, make sure the washers are at least 1/16th" thick as that should be well outside the safe limit of any machine limits.

what does bubbles in radiator ususally mean? it could be boiling, are you running anti-freeze? or low on coolant... the top hose might be makeing the bubbles, now if it's kinda foamy and getting darker that's a different story...

please elaborate for those that don't have a clue... like me... :D

it was definently a leak, the coolant was muddy looking and big bubbles were coming up when it was filled all the way up, while cold and i would have to add coolant twice a week, i did retorque the head but it was still bubling untill recently, coolant is still at the same level too, but im still going to inspect and put a new gasket on since i run the engine hard from time to time

If i remember correctly, the head bolts are 7/16th coarse thread

First head bolt on the passenger side should have an exposed bolt, you should be able to double-check the size of that
