c-4 leaking (with picture)

Hi everybody, I got in my car today and discovered it spewing trans fluid on the ground when I put it in reverse. Attached is a picture of where it's leaking from. Is this easily sovled with a new seal or am I looking at bigger problems here?

Are you saying it's leaking around the servor cover, if so yes there is a gasket under there and it needs to be torqued when re-installed.

You may need to check the seals on the low-reverse servo.

It was the seal that goes around the cover. Tricky seal to find a replacment for but easy to fix. Thanks for the help.

A trans shop should have tons of them for about $1 ea.

I went to five trans shops before I found the seal, and they only had one in stock.

Either way, I have to compliment the original poster on a really clear illustration of the problem area.

Far better than "There's stuff coming out the bottom of my car and it drives funny. Dad says he'll have a look on the weekend but I was wondering if you knew what it is."
