C4 Bell for Crossflow

it is made from cast iron, i got it of a mate years ago, it bolts up to the same bolts that hold a front pump on a c9, so i figure it will fit a c4. These are a fairly dificuilt thing to find even here in oz as 90 % of the falcon and cortina 250's come out with borgwarner 35/40 3-speeds.
if you got real desperate you could have this one i have no idea of how to get it there though as im in oz

All but impossible to find without a C4 attached and included in the asking. Pay $100-$350 for the lot. As I always say, the good sources are simply not online - it's the way our country is.

Geoff Dellow offers one in alloy too, but it's AUD350. FYI, economy airfreight is about $112 with insurance. Mass is about half the CI unit.

I also am in need of one of these bell housings. I have a XF being shipped to me, and it has a bell housing on it, but I'm not sure if the bell is for a standard or automatic and won't know till it gets here. Do you know how to contact this Geoff Dellow guy? A $100 bucks is a small price to pay for shipping if it's keeping you from installing a hot new motor.

I'll PM you some info in a few hours. Babysitting a sick animal right now.

I'm going to need one, if anyone in Oz would like to help me purchase and ship one. Or if there is anyone in the US who would like to trade for a toploader bellhousing, I have a spare.

Do you want aftermarket alloy or CI? Geoff Dellow is decent to deal with, and I could handle that. If you want cast iron, get Mike Fielder to pop a spare in the container next. Check with Stanger 53 in case he kept his extra one (since it's much closer).

I could agree to an alloy bell. Could you call Dellow and ask price/availability for me? I could probably just deal directly with him at that point. You know the engine - it's out of an XF.

No problems. Might have to wait a few hours - just winding down from a 12-hour day and he won't be open until 0830. I'll ask about shipping, too.

Most stuff is done inside about 10 days unless there's a large prior amount of orders. Economy air to the US runs about AUD$115 with insurance; about five to seven days to the West Coast seems typical.

Not so good news on the alloy one. "We're not doing them at the moment." Maybe a lack of demand, as people migrate to the OHC motors.
