Hello,
I'm looking for MustangSix to answer a question for me. Others may help too but it seems I heard him talk about this before. It has to do with the mounting of a XF engine in a US Comet. I recall reading about the XF engine being a little more narrow than our US counter part. If I'm remembering right, you said the XF was about an inch narrower than the US engine. Did you use the US motor mounts and how did you make up for that inch. Any help is surely appreciated.
Dave

the Crossflow Chronicles says that the crossflow is approx 1" narrower than the US 250 engine, as well as having a lower height than the US 250

i briefly went over the write-up he did, didn't find any mention of what mounts he used (unless i missed them)

Just bolt on the 200 engine mounts. You'll need to raise them by shimming under the "feet". This is to clear the drag link. There is another solution using the crossflow engine brackets/rubber mounts - I think it's simple, but it requires some minor fabrication and that means most people shy from it.

Appreciate the answers guys. Jack, so you didn't use any shims or longer bolts?
Dave
