cant go dual

You seem pretty set on the duals, but I think sometimes a single exhaust would be better for performance. Not really the same but when some BMW performance company decided to hop-up the M3 the took out the dual exhaust and put in a single. Don't really know why. Anyway, my two cents. Also, an easy way to convert Celcius to Farenheit is to double C then add 30.

gopher_6_9: i went to lordco and asked about the hedman headers again...this guy looked it up and said the only thing he could find was in the truck section, also that they were 250 bucks...so i dont know what the other guy i had before was smoking, but thats completely different than what i was quoted before...but the truck inlines are obviously different than the car inlines, but i asked him to brin it in so i could look at it and match up the gasket from my car to the header just to make sure...so Its most likely a no go, and I'm pretty dissappointed too, but tomorrow i will be going in and making sure...i will also check out the price of some other headers while i'm there. and if the header works, then i'll get u the part number.

well the header didnt come in today cause there wasnt a driver, but i was misinformed before about the header being for my car...so it most likely wont work. although i did ask for another price for a header specifically for my 250, and its a Pacemaker brand...only a single outlet but it'll only cost me about 300 bucks cdn...so I'm thinking seriously about that...I've decided for now that i will run a single outlet header (2-1/4 pipe i suppose is fine?) and going with a magnaflow or flowmaster single to dual muffler at the end and sticking 2 chrome tubes side by side out the one side...should sound pretty decent and look allright...i was told its not legal to have the pipes come out before the tires as well...so the only option for me would be to go through the leafsprings and out behind the tires...my stupid gas tank is so far offset i cant get beside it even on an angle so i wont even bother thinking about going right to the back.

anytime man...i want to try and help as much as I can.

Well...i took my muffler off at the tire shop...although it took time out of the end of the day, all it is going to cost me is to come in 1/2 hour earlier tomorrow for work...whatever. I ended up needing to retard my timing a bit more (i think i should invest in a gun sooner or later  ) and also needed to open up my idle mixture screw again...now it runs really smooth again...its much louder with this carb and straight pipe than before....its really awesome. It sounds like a pretty big engine under the hood...i have no idea that i could have achived that sound with the single outlet pipe...if this carb shows promise than i may keep it and do the head upgrades and a header and hopefully it can supply enough air/fuel for my upgrade...if not i will go looking for a 2bbl...But Still I am AMAZED at the sound of it...i rev it up and i dont get that stupid fart noise...it actually rumbles as i rev it up...I'm gonna try to get a sound file, but i dont know how good the sound on my freinds digital camera works.
