I picked up what I thought was a Holley/Weber 5200. After getting it home and cleaned off I cant find any thing to indicate that it is a Holley. The carb. needs to be rebuilt so I would like to get the correct kit for it the 1st time out.
The Barrels are stamped 26 & 27
Base has stamped 32 36 DFAV
and other base face has 23AN5
Made in Spain
Electric choke 086 00
Accelerator pump cover Has Weber on it.
Wish I had more information, but that's all I can find with out breaking it down
Thanks for the help

Its the early 1970's to early 1982 European Ford Capri 1600 carb. It is often found on the 2V Kent 1600 HC engine, also Escort Sport, XR2 Fiesta, but is also found as an aftermarket carb for a variety of engines from little 1200 cc Datsuns and Volkswagens to 258 Jeeps. There are many differences between it and the Holley Weber 5200, but since the carb has 26/27 venturis which are big enough to run on any 2000 Pinto OHC or 2300 Lima or 2600/2800/2900 Cologne V6, and of course, any 200 or perhaps a very mild, stock 250. It is fine to use if you change the jets and emulsion tubes to those recommended. The float level settings, and return line tubes vary, and sometimes its better to use a fuel pressure regulator. Other Webers are mirror images of the Holley Weber 5200, the DFAV isn't, so your in luck!

The Weber carb can have its primaries and secondaries swapped from the original Pinto Holley Weber position; all 2V Kent OHV engines ran a carb which was arranged the same as to the US Holley Weber 5200.

Thanks for the reply Xctasy, Will any carb kit for the Holley 5200 series work ? You mentioned differences, would these be external such as linkage orientation or are there also internal differences.

Any kit should work fine if the linkages are the same. And they are!
