I am planning on doing an offy 3x1 setup on my 200 I plan on using stock 1 barrel carbs. I have my stock 67' 1 barrel and I also have a 1 barrel from 65 200. Are these 2 carbs essentailly the same? Any suggestions on what I should get for my 3rd carb?

I'm just starting to get everything together to do the Offy upgrade myself. I can tell you that there two different manifolds, one for the earlier round log and one for the larger flat log. What I can tell you is that the manifold for the larger flat log needs a two carbs with a 1 7/16" throttle bore for the ends and can use one with a 1 3/4" throttle bore for the center. The holes at the ends of maniflod are only 1 1/2" in diameter and the thottle plate for the larger bore carb will not open.
Sorry I can't tell you anything about the earlier type but I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that can.

Howdy:

The Autolite 1100 from a '65 & '67 200, the same transmission, are virtually the same. Both are flow rated at 185 CFM.

Another 1100, of the same years and trans type would work fine. Remove and seal the choke function on the end carbs, when using a progressive linkage. That's what comes in the Edelbrock kit. Also remove and plug the SCV and the vacuum source on the end carbs.

What distributor will you be using?

What year is your head? Casting #?

Some folks prefer to use the smaller cfm 100s from the 170 engines. They are rated at 150 cfm.

I will be using my stock dizzy with a petronix iginitor. The head is the stock dog turd head, but I have port and polished the exhaust, cleaned up the combustion chambers, I have a 274 cam from FSPP, hipo balancer, roler tip rockers, ross forged pistons, 10:1 compression, an exhaust port divider, and a few other goodies.
