Hello. I have a question for the group. I have a 1969 mustang with the 200 inline. I am having a hard time with locating a Carburetor. I need the autolite 1100 without the scv. I found 1 but the owner said it was for a manual car. Is there a difference between a manual trans carb and a auto ? I attached picture of one I currently have.

if you don't need the SCV operation for ignition advance, almost any carb from that era should be compatible. Any 1100 carb with the SCV port can be modified for distributor ported vacuum or plugged and manifold vac' used for simplicity . The Carter YF carbs are a popular option fairly available since used in 70's.

Automatics of the era used a "Dashpot" setup to slow accelerator return to idle. ( pedal ballistics ) This prevents a stall when T converter is still loaded. Most Dashpots are added to the outside of carb, 1100's are incorporated. (Basically a vacuum chamber with small orifice to slow throttle response )
