a guy wants to sell me an autolite 1100, but it has a spark contol valve on the passenger side of carb, he said it came off his 66 stang with a 200 ci motor and automatic tranny , no smog or ac,,,my car is a 66 same engine but a 3spd manual tranny , with smog and ac,, I have an 1100 on mine right now but it doesn't have the valve on like his does

anu Ideas or input is greatly appreciated as I don't want to lay ou the money only to find out it won't work,,,thanks

All the 66's should have had an SCV. What would be different between the MT and AT is the AT cars had what looked like a second accelerator pump on the other side of the float bowl. It is basically a a shock absorber to keep the throttle from slamming shut too fast. It should not hurt anything on a manual car. SCV or no scv depends on what dizzy you are running. If you are running an original 66 load o dizzy you need the SCV port. If you are running any later (68+?) dizzy you dont need it so it wont matter.
