So, as most of you may know by now I've finally switched over to a 2V carburetor but now I'm thinging...MORE POWER! I think I've got the bug!

Does anyone have any links comparing a 32/36 with a 2300/1.08? I know X stated the limitations on the Weber, as far as HP, but I was wondering about the Motorcraft.

Remember, whenever you post a response I'm only using an adapter. Direct mounting is to come...

Howdy Chris

The Autolite 1.08 is rated at 287 cfm. I don't have a rating on the H/W 32/36. My guess would be at around 320 cfm. Both will require fine tuning and possibly rejetting to get the most out of them.

THe H/W will have a better idle and probably improved economy over both the stock one barrel and the Autolite 1.08. Although the 1.08s do well on mileage- as good or better than the stock one barrel.

If you like the 1.08 you can easily step up to a 1.21 for a very nice increase in performance, although the funnel adapter will mitigate that somewhat. It is rated at 351 CFM. Either carb will perform closer to its potential if it were mounted directly to a modified log manifold.

Howdy folks,

Not to contradict any one going to a 2-barrel, but I just installed a YF off of a 240 on my 200. $99.00 remanufactured, and plenty of bottom and enough top to get you were you want to go. The added acelleration was a rush. It really is a good improvement over the stock YF for the 200. I even barked the tires off the line (33x10.5x15 BFG MTs, 4.10 mini-spooled 9" rear, and original 3.03 3-speed with a 3.41 ratio first gear) ever seen a grown man cry? Only mod. was the choke heat tube sat a little too high for stock air cleaner, just bent it down a little to fit. Just some info to pass along. Later.

ps. my CR is only about 7.5 to 1 (Fel-Pro and no milling, yet)
