Carter/Weber Carburetor

I am working on a D5 head, adding a pair of Carter/Weber Carburetors I bought from Stovebolt. Tom told me they are rated some where around 280 cfm each. They are progressive carbs. They are Motorcraft 740 carbs, used on 83 Escorts. Where can I find information about these carbs?
