Howdy Frank:

I'm not aware of any movement or interest in creating and casting an iron header for the USA head. This is a very small market/demand and there are three options for headers now with the recent inclusion of FordSixParts.

If you're talking for your '60 wagon, you can upgrade to a '63 or later OEM cast manifold which offers some improvement over a '60 manifold. 2" outlet vs 1.75, Donut type gasket vs flat. The later manifold along with a 2" exhaust system would be a significant help.

Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear.

It's my understanding (with limited research) that a pair of shorty headers like the Argentinian heads use would cost about $800 uncoated, by the time it reached your door. A 6-1 cast turbo header might be a little cheaper. These costs reflect low volume production and machining. Hence, it's a price issue - who would part with that money? :?

I have a 1963 manifold on it now..I even have a 170 head on it with a odd Holley carb. Might be the performance package for offered but I dont know.

What were the exhaust manafolds like in 80..were they the goofy ones that opened up to a monster hole for a catilatic converter?

I dont want tube headers on my wagon. But it looks like I'm in for a manifold purchase soon and new pipe. I want it to be quiet but a 2 inch pipe with a Truck style muffler. Oh and a port divider.

But I perfer cast iron. I have headers on everything...but this is my driver and I like it to look stock to the untrained eye.
