sorry to ask ya'll but i looked at mine and they were as follows:
0(orD) E13 CODE 6090 3

can anyone please tell me what i have? i looked at the numbers in the faq's and it only had the 144 (6090-A) thank ya'll so much i know its probably been a worn out subject but was just wondering what it all meant. i know it was in the big six forum faq's but not for the small ones..thanks again jake out

thanks barroom hero but i have a 62 and that list starts at 64, it maybe the year but i dont see anything matching that well..any other help would be great....jake out

Howdy Jake:

CODE = C indicates the decade of the 60's, 0 indicates the year. This is a 1960 casting. In 1960 the only small six was the 144.

The C0DE head haw 1.46' intake valves, 1.266' exhaust, 850 cc intake volume and a camber size somewhere between 44 -51. All 144s used a flat-top piston.

There is ocassionally a different casting # on the block as heads are easily swapped. What is the casting # on your block?

Adios, David

sorry about that jake, didnt realize it started at 64. is the "0(orD) E13" off of a different part than the rest of the code?

thats alright (hero) i just wish i had a 170 or 200 i hope the 144 will not cause any problems for triccking it out some.....jake out

you can usually get ahold of a 200 for next to nothing, or sometimes even for nothing. after people do v8 swaps they sometimes give away the 6.

hey hero thanks alot for your help in this...well i found the other numbers on the block bottom drivers side......they are
CODE 6015-D
is this still a 144... and i'm going to start looking for a 200 that way i can do it all right..lol jake out
