OKAY!
Look at THIS: (it's for an engine that is descended from our engines )

Wait a minute I thought that Cometic wasn't going to make a gasket for our engines and I know that the image at the link above is not specifically for our Ford small sixes but it looks eerily familiar, no? the bore is actually a little smaller than it should be for a 250 (I got 3.66") but the bore spacing and bolt pattern LOOKS correct. Ofcourse the coolant passages are all wrong and their are no provisions for our lifter bores being on the driver side of the block but LOOK!

It literally looks like it has all the same holes punched into it until you get to the back part which looks like it's widened to accept an OHC timing chain cover!
This motor is actually descended from our motors here isn't it?

I say we start a Harassment campaign to keep calling them until they give in to our demands!!!!!!!!!!!

I just find it absurd that they can make the claim that the market isn't "big enough" to offer gaskets for our American small sixes and then turn around and offer the product we've been requesting for our niche to a niche half a world away
No Offense intended to out in-liner brethren Down Under.

Compared to the copper head gasket:

If you read his post it says they are different. He was just wondering why they make that gasket and not one for our inline's.

I've been talking with the tech guys at Cometic for over a year, and they will make one for us, but not until I plop down 10 grand for the tooling. I'm saving my pennies, and hope to order them sometime this summer.

:hmmm: So what your saying is that we all need to pony up and buy as many as we can of the Aluminum Valve covers, oil caps, and LOTS of gaskets ?
(The little stuff adds up LOL)
I am patient I'll just have to keep the boost down for now

Keep Sixin'

Anything and everything we buy from Mike can only speed up the process :)
If my hours at work weren't cut back to 15 a week I'd be 'contributing' more. .

no chance they could be widened for a assuie head Mike?
I assume your refering to a CrossFlow head? Not without paying another 10K for the tooling.

Hey I got an Idea!

Lets All Go to Fabulous Fords Forever in April and Sell Candy Bars! LOL

But Seriously If I make it this year I am going to wear a Classic Inlines Hat! (too bad there aren't any pants, shirts, and underpants  )

Which reminds me I need to buy one with my upcoming order
